Colour coding helps with easy identification in an emergency, so sopep absorbents are in white color.

The Ship Oil Pollution Emergency Plan (SOPEP) requires any ship with a gross tonnage of 400 tons or over, or any oil tanker with a gross tonnage of 150 tons or over, to have onboard an oil prevention plan as per the guidelines of the International Maritime Agency. The primary objective of this is to stop or minimize oil outflow in the event of when either damage to the ship or when operational spills occurs.

Suitable for use on cargo vessels and oil tankers the kit includes oil only absorbents for the recovery of 1,900 liters of oil and large waste bags for the storage of up to 2,000 liters of recovered oil and is stored within one robust and lockable 1,100 liter Wheeled bin.

The kit consists of cost effective absorbents that are manufactured from high quality melt blown polypropylene and It is constructed using a strong tubular knitted outer fabric sleeve allows for durability, expansion and improved speed of absorption. Filled with a super absorbent polymer that retains all liquids absorbed. Ideal for all workplace spills and leaks.

The spill kit is supplied as a full kit in a mobile wheeled bin that allows it to be positioned wherever required.
